Studi Hubungan Karakteristik Arsitektur Postmodern dan Musik Rock

Abstract

Music is to be heard and architecture is to be seen, but there are many similarities of both. And the most important is that architecture and music are equally perceived not only to be seen or heard. Music and architecture can collaborate and deliver the ultimate product of architecture. Some architects are also an artist who plays music, applying his music in architectural design. The emergence of postmodern architecture along with the rise of rock music in the world. Is there a rock-music relationship with postmodern architecture? This research uses qualitative method with literature review approach, which aims to get an overview about the relationship of rock music with postmodern architecture. From this study it is concluded that the same characteristic relationship between rock music and postmodern architecture is seen in architectural design.
