<title>Opportunities for Implementing Low- Tech Dew and Fog Harvesting Architecture in Indonesia: A Narrative Literature Review</title>

<description>Opportunities for Implementing Low- Tech Dew and Fog Harvesting Architecture in Indonesia: A Narrative Literature Review
Khamdevi, Muhammar; Riupassa, Robi Dany
The water crisis is affecting the entire world, including Indonesia. Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara regions are vulnerable to such disasters. Low-income and traditional communities will be the first to feel the effects. Low-tech dew and fog harvesting buildings have been built in several parts of the world as alternative methods to address water scarcity. This technology necessitates the collaboration of multidisciplinary researchers and practitioners, particularly in architectural science, in the design development of this building. These building design requirements must be tailored to local Indonesian conditions. This study will examine the building opportunities that use this technology in the local Indonesian context, focusing on the potential for the adoption and modification of traditional buildings. This research method employs a narrative literature review of official document data and scientific studies. The study's findings indicate that traditional buildings in Indonesia have a high potential for the use of this technology.

<title>Relasi Fungsi, Bentuk, dan Material pada Arsitektur Rumah Baja Karya Ahmad Djuhara</title>
<link>http://repository.matanauniversity.ac.id:8080/xmlui/123456789/1437</link>
<description>Relasi Fungsi, Bentuk, dan Material pada Arsitektur Rumah Baja Karya Ahmad Djuhara
Wibowo, Danang Harito
Steel house by Ir. This Ahmad Djuhara I.A.I, comes with a prominent metal material dominance. In addition to being used in the main structure and the main outer enclosure, all these materials are displayed in a straightforward and naked manner. Making the expression of this building really unusual. Perhaps because of this, as far as is known, since 2002 it has received the most and widest coverage from the media (print, television and online) than any other architect's works. This steel house received an award from the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI Award), such as confirming the existence and presence of this unique steel house. This study aims to examine how the relationship aspects of Form, Function &amp; Material. The method used is qualitative - descriptive. Through the study of the anatomy of the building, then data collection by means of field observations, direct interviews with users. Then, to fulfill its objectivity, interviews were also conducted on 15 residents (chosen randomly) who live around the location (radius not more than 600 m). The results of the study show that the relationship from triangulation aspects of Form, Function and Material does not work as expected, especially regarding materials. This research is expected to be useful for architectural science, practitioners and students. So that in its design, it is necessary to be more careful in determining the dominance of the material.

<title>Kajian Anatomi Karya Arsitektur (Studi Kasus: Rumah Baja oleh Ahmad Djuhara)</title>
<link>http://repository.matanauniversity.ac.id:8080/xmlui/123456789/1436</link>
<description>Kajian Anatomi Karya Arsitektur (Studi Kasus: Rumah Baja oleh Ahmad Djuhara)
Wibowo, Danang Harito

<title>An Examination of The Design Process of Indonesian Architects Through The Lens of Design Theory</title>
<link>http://repository.matanauniversity.ac.id:8080/xmlui/123456789/1435</link>
<description>An Examination of The Design Process of Indonesian Architects Through The Lens of Design Theory
Wibowo, Danang Harito; Prijotomo, Josef; Saliya, Yuswadi
In research on several professional architects, it was found that architects in the design process did not always use linear processes such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation (Darke, 1979). How professional architects think and process when designing is the subject of discussion. This paper is a study on normative attitudes, methods, strategies, stages, and others related to the design process, with a case study of two female architects, namely Wendy Djuhara and Osrithalita Gabriella. These two women architects are part of the phenomenon of the rapidly growing number of women architects in many countries in the world, including Indonesia in the last 20 years. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with narrative nuances. Primary data is obtained through interviews, therefore the analysis method used is qualitative text data analysis. As an instrument of analysis, it uses Rowe's (1991) premise on normative attitude as a Professional architect and 3 (three) theories of designing from Jones (1970), Broadbent (1977), and Lawson (2005). The objectives of this study are 1) To reveal what kind of normative attitude both of them have as professional architects. 2) How is the designing process of both architects in the selected architectural works? 3) Finding the common thread of the designing process done by the two female architects. The result of this study will be beneficial for the enrichment of Architecture science, as well as the world of Architecture education, especially for students, and Architecture researchers who can use this research as a foundation for other research. This study is also believed to be important for practicing architects because it can add insight as well as alternatives in carrying out the process of designing architecture.
