Global warming has triggered weather anomalies that have extended the duration of human activity indoors. This has led to a surge in the use of artificial lighting and ventilation. This phenomenon has a significant impact on low-rise house typologies located on narrow urban plots, where limited site area and physical obstructions from surrounding buildings often create dark and stifling spaces, ultimately leading to energy wastage. This research aims to formulate effective passive design strategies to maximize natural lighting and ventilation in order to achieve energy efficiency on constrained sites. This qualitative study employs a descriptive-analytical approach using a single-case study method. Data were collected through literature reviews and direct observation of the design implementation in a three floors house in the urban area of Tangerang. The research findings formulate eight passive design strategies that have been implemented in practice, categorized into vertical and horizontal scopes of influence. These eight strategies demonstrate that energy efficiency in urban dwellings on narrow plots can be achieved through precise architectural engineering based on the performance evaluation of the built environment.

Evaluation of CT scan image quality is a crucial aspect in ensuring accurate medical diagnosis.
This research aims to evaluate noise values and image homogeneity of CT scans on a head
phantom after daily calibration. Evaluation of these two parameters is critical because high noise
can interfere with image contrast and lead to clinical misinterpretation, while low homogeneity
may indicate artifacts or system inconsistencies that potentially reduce diagnostic reliability.
Measurements were performed using Region of Interest (ROI) at five points (one in the center and
four at the edges at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions) across six image slices, for both head and
body modes. The CT scan system used was Siemens SOMATOM go.Top, with primary scanning
parameters for each mode: 120 kV voltage, 265 mA current (head) and 220 mA (body), as well as
Hr40f and Br40f kernels. Research results show that the CT number homogeneity values in head
mode ranged from -1.96 to 0.81 HU, and in body mode from -1.78 to 1.28 HU; all were within the
tolerance limit of 0 ± 4 HU. Noise values for head mode ranged from 3.49 – 3.67 HU and body
mode from 4.98 – 5.37 HU, also within standard tolerance limits. These findings indicate that the
CT scan system functions properly and meets diagnostic imaging quality standards. Additionally,
these results support the importance of implementing periodic quality control as part of improving
radiological service quality and strengthening patient safety standards in medical facilities

Illya, Gregoria; Sutanto, Hadi
Moderate chain-length mismatch in saturated lipid mixtures provides a
useful model for understanding how structural perturbations influence
membrane behavior. Here, all-atom molecular dynamics simulations were
used to investigate DPPC/DLPC bilayers across compositions at 50 °C,
focusing on the coupled evolution of structure, dynamics, and hydration.
Increasing DLPC content leads to a systematic increase in area per lipid and
a reduction in bilayer thickness, indicating weakened packing within the
hydrophobic core. These structural changes are accompanied by enhanced
interleaflet coupling and decreased acyl-chain ordering. The lateral diffusion
behavior is composition-dependent: DLPC mobility increases steadily with
concentration, whereas DPPC exhibits a non-monotonic trend, reflecting
competing effects of increased free volume and heterogeneous packing. Mean
squared displacement analysis in log–log representation reveals persistent
subdiffusive dynamics for both lipid species, with diffusion exponents α ≈
0.30–0.35 across all compositions. This indicates that lipid motion remains
governed by transient confinement and spatial heterogeneity, even as overall
mobility increases. In parallel, water density profiles show enhanced
penetration of water into the bilayer interior with increasing DLPC fraction,
driven by packing defects and increased free volume rather than pore
formation. These results demonstrate that moderate chain-length mismatch
induces a coupled structural and dynamical response that governs
membrane transport properties

Implementation of Community-Based Tourism As Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy on Pari Island, Seribu Islands
Simamora, Vera Inne Juni; Nando, Felix; Lawrence, Jennifer
The achievement of long-term tourism sustainability requires active participation from local
communities, particularly through Community-Based Tourism (CBT) implementation, which can
generate benefits across economic, socio-cultural, and environmental dimensions. Although Pari
Island has significant marine tourism potential, the implementation still faces various challenges,
particularly regarding institutional frameworks, community participation, and environmental
management. This research analyzes the implementation of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) on Pari
Island across economic, environmental, and socio-cultural dimensions, and identifies forms of
government support for CBT. A qualitative approach utilizing descriptive methods was adopted.
Informants comprised tourism business actors, administrators of Tourism Awareness Groups
(Pokdarwis), community leaders, and local government representatives, all selected through
purposive sampling. Data were obtained from several sources, including in-depth interviews, field
observations, and relevant documentation. The data were then systematically interpreted using a
thematic analysis approach. The results demonstrate that the economic dimension is the most
developed aspect of community-based tourism (CBT), as shown by community participation in diverse
tourism enterprises that increase income and create employment opportunities. In contrast, the socio cultural and environmental dimensions remain underdeveloped due to limited collective community
participation, weak local institutions, insufficient stakeholder collaboration, and low community
engagement in environmental management. Government support has been provided through
facilities, training, and sanitation management, but lacks sustained institutional backing. These results
highlight the necessity of strengthening community institutions, fostering multi-stakeholder
collaboration, and advancing community-based environmental management to enhance CBT
implementation and promote sustainable tourism development on Pari Island.
